My Body Is My Business by Melissa R Todd

A book review by Cliff James

It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed a book, in fact more years than I care to remember. So what has brought this on. Well… If you follow me on twitter you’ll probably have noticed my cheeky comments regarding Melissa R Todd. If you haven’t seen them let me enlighten you. Melissa is frequently taking girls across her knee, baring their bottoms and spanking them. In my opinion this is happening too much. Although Melissa occasionally gets a spanking I feel it’s nowhere often enough. If you read between the lines you’ll understand why I’m making these comments.

The first time I saw this attractive lady was in a photoset and video produced by my friends at English Spankers. Melissa’s bottom was so marked it showed she had been truly spanked and caned. Hmm. I could do that I thought. Wishful thinking on my part I’m sure. Since then Melissa has a habit of popping up everywhere. Not that I’m complaining, as I’m more than happy watching her spank away or bare her lovely bottom for a spanking or an application of firm rattan.

Through (X) formally known as twitter Melissa and I have exchanged a few messages. Melissa asked if I would like an advance copy of her book to peruse over. Why not I thought, it’s been a long time since I’ve read a naughty book. To be honest, I didn’t expect a copy to arrive but one morning my lovely postie, a dark dusky lady called Pat, (It’s true, post woman Pat) handed over a padded envelope that I wasn’t expecting, and there it was. Lovely! This is where the fun starts as I had no idea Melissa was a Dominatrix, though I have no doubt she makes a very good one, so good that should I meet this lady I will keep my back to the wall.

So on to the book… The reader is treated to fully transparent no holds barred insight into the world of a Melissa, who I now know is top dominatrix. Melissa tells her story with wit and gives intelligent observations. To me it’s a real ‘eye opener’, informative and educational, and it will almost certainly surprise you and probably modify your views about the BDSM scene and sex work in general. An excellent well written entertaining read and an important book for anyone who cares about the way society views and treats sex workers and their clients. Highly recommended, a must-have for the top shelf of your bookcase.”
